The Delhi High Court on Tuesday denied default bail to Red Fort terror case accused Jasir Bilal Wani alias Danish.

A Division Bench of Justices Prathiba M Singh and Vikas Mahajan rejected the appeal filed by Wani against the trial court order.

The detailed order is awaited.

Default bail is a right to be released from custody when the police or investigating agency fail to finish their investigation and file a chargesheet within a set legal time limit.

Wani is a 20-year-old resident of Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag. He has been accused by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) of being an active co-conspirator in the November 10, 2025, Red Fort area car bomb blast.

He allegedly worked closely with Dr. Umer-un-Nabi, who drove the explosive-laden car used in the attack. The agency has alleged that Wani provided technical assistance to the terror module, including modifying drones and attempting to develop rockets.

According to reports, NIA's May 2026 chargesheet describes Wani as the module's “in-house engineer” and alleges that he provided technical support to its members.

Investigators have also alleged that he stayed at Al Falah University in Faridabad during 2024-25 in connection with the conspiracy.
