Three graduates from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore – K S Bharath Kumar, Nerale Veerabhadraiah Vijay, and Nerale Veerabhadraiah Bhavani have been appointed district judges in Karnataka.
The Governor on Monday appointed five advocates as district judges through direct recruitment reports Deccan Herald. The other two advocates who have been appointed as judges are Vijayakumar Malasiddappa Anandashetti and Ravi M R.
Bhavani graduated in 1999 while Bharath and Vijay graduated in 2001.
Bhavani initially worked with Justice N Kumar for six years thereafter setting up her own practice along with her brother Vijay. Bhavani has been practicing on the civil side while Vijay focuses on criminal practice.
On her decision to join the judiciary, Bhavan said,
“My father was a High Court judge, Justice NS Veerabhdraiah and I respect this institution and always wanted to be part of it.”
The swearing in ceremony will be held on June 8, 2015.
