49 Civil Judges in Tamil Nadu promoted as District Judges [Read Notification]

A notification to this effect was issued on August 19, Wednesday.

The Tamil Nadu Government has approved the promotion of 49 civil judges to the rank of district judges.

A proposal sent for the same by the Registrar General of the Madras High Court was approved on Wednesday.

The notification states that the Government has directed that the 49 amed civil judges be appointed as District Judges on a temporary basis in existing vacancies earmarked in teh 65% quota.

The judges so promoted are:

  1. M Chandran, Deputed to Puducherry Judicial Service functioning as Sub Judge, Yanam.

  2. P Srikumar, Principal Sub Judge, Coimbatore.

  3. T Panneerselvam, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Nagapattinam.

  4. AP Latha, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Namakkal.

  5. S Ravishanker, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Tirunelveli.

  6. G Saraswathi, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Tiruvallur

  7. Roslyn Durai, II Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore.

  8. GM Vasanthi, Principal Sub Judge, Tiruvannamalai

  9. K Vijaya, Principal Sub Judge, Tiruchirappalli.
