The Central government today notified the appointment of Advocate M Balaji as an additional judge of the Andhra Pradesh High Court..Union Minister of State (I/C) for Law & Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal announced the development in a post on X. Meghwal in the tweet said,"In exercise of the power conferred by the Constitution of India, the President of India, after consultation with Chief Justice of India, is pleased to appoint Shri Balaji Medamalli @ M. Balaji, to be an Additional Judge of the Andhra Pradesh High Court for a period of two years with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office. I convey my best wishes to him.".The Supreme Court Collegium on January 28 recommended that Balaji be appointed as a judge of the High Court. "The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on 28th January, 2026 has approved the proposal for appointment of Shri Balaji Medamalli @ M.
