Amal Jyothi College moves Kerala High Court for police protection amidst protests after engineering student's suicide

A 20-year-old student's suicide on June 2 sparked massive protests in the campus and also led to several students taking to social media to highlight various issues they have faced at the college.

A week after a student committed suicide in its hostel, Amal Jyothi College of Engineering has approached the Kerala High Court seeking police protection amidst protests by student political bodies [Amal Jyothi College of Engineering & Anr. v State of Kerala & Ors.].
