Following a meeting held on August 27, the Consortium of National Law Universities has decided that the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for both undergraduate and postgraduate law college admissions will now be held on September 28, this year.
The communication issued in this regard by the CLAT consortium reads:
CLAT 2020, which was initially scheduled to take place on May 10, was postponed first to May 24 in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
More recently, the exam had been rescheduled to September 7. In view of the latest notification, the exam is now expected to be conducted on September 28.
The Consortium had met yesterday to review the precautionary measures taken in the context of the COVID 19 pandemic and the resulting situation in various states of the country.
The Consoritum took its decision to postpone the exams to September 28 after assessing the lockdown situation in various parts of the country. In particular, the Consortium has taken note of the prevailing lockdown situation in West Bengal Bengal and Bihar, the notification states.
