Plea challenging the notification of the Chandigarh administration denotifying highways to circumvent the Supreme Court judgment banning liquor shops along highways.

3. All India Jamiatul Quresh Action Committee through Its President Mohammed Abdul Faheem Advocate v. Union Of India

Plea challenging the notification issued by the Central government banning the sale of cattle for slaughter in animal markets. The Supreme Court had issued notice to the Centre on June 15.

Today in Court: Delhi HC pulled up Delhi Police due to their inaction regarding the investigation and asked to file status report within 2 weeks.

2. Courts on its Own Motion “In Re: ” Suicide Committed by Sushant Rohilla, Law Student of I.P. University

[Item No.6 in Court on 34 – W.P.(CRL) 793/2017]

Bench: Siddharth Mridul, Najmi Waziri JJ.

Matter pertaining to the suicide committed by Sushant Rohilla, a Law Student of Amity IP University. Senior Advocate Dayan Krishnan had been appointed as the Amicus Curiae in the matter.

Today in CourtCourt reprimanded the university for its shoddy investigation and asked to file a report within two weeks.
