The Central government has notified the appointment of two judicial officers as additional judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. .Union Minister of State (in charge) for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal informed of the development on X (formerly Twitter) today.The newly appointed High Court judges are Ramesh Chander Dimri and Neerja Kulwant Kalson.The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended that they be appointed as additional judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court after a meeting held on December 16, 2025. .The Punjab and Haryana High Court presently has a working strength of 59 judges, against the sanctioned strength of 68 judges (38 permanent and 30 additional judges).With the latest appointments, the working strength of the High Court will rise to 61 judges. .Follow Bar and Bench channel on WhatsAppDownload the Bar and Bench Mobile app for instant access to the latest legal news.
