Do Not Disturb: Allahabad HC asks Judicial Officers not to send messages to Chief Justice’s mobile number

The Registrar General of the Allahabad High Court has written a letter to all district judges of the state’s subordinate judiciary requesting them to not send any messages to the mobile number of the Chief Justice Govind Mathur, except in any extreme exigency..The letter was written by the Registrar General of the Allahabad High Court after some of the judicial officers sent good wishes to the Chief Justice on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami..“Such acts of the Judicial Officers create a problem and causing inconvenience to His Lordship. His Lordship has expressed great concern on the issue and has directed the undersigned to ensure that no messages/good wishes/WhatsApp messages on any occasion, either today or in future, are sent on the mobile number of His Lordship.”.Stating that the “matter may be treated as most urgent”, the Registrar General has conveyed the following message to all the district judges:.“…I am accordingly directed to request you not to send any type of messages/good wishes/WhatsApp messages on any occasion, either today or in future, are sent on the mobile number of His Lordship, except in any extreme exigency.
