Collegium recommends 2 additional judges of Gauhati High Court be made permanent

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended that two additional judges of the Gauhati High Court be confirmed as permanent High Court judges.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Collegium held on August 19.

The judges who have been recommended are -

- Justice Budi Habung

- Justice N Unni Krishnan Nair

The Collegium has further recommended the appointment of Justice Kaushik Goswami as an additional judge of the Gauhati High Court for a fresh one-year term, effective from November 10, 2025.
