Consumer Court orders Cochin Airport to pay ₹16k to passenger who caught fever after he was drenched by rain while boarding flight

The Ernakulam District Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission held that the passenger was liable to be compensated for the physical discomfort, mental agony, etc. caused to him due to the deficiency in service from CIAL.

A Kerala Consumer Court recently ordered the Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) to pay compensation of ₹16,000 to a passenger who got drenched in the rain because the step ladder to board the flight did not have any cover to protect passengers from the rain.
