Exclusive: Five Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas Partners leave to join AZB & Partners

Five Partners of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) have left the firm to join AZB & Partners.

Disputes Partner Kapil Arora will be joining AZB as Equity Partner, along with Delhi Head Ajay Sawhney

Along with them, Projects & Infrastructure Partners Aditi Misra and Bhupendra Verma, as well as Energy & Infrastructure Partner Rachika Sahay have also resigned to join AZB as Partners.

Confirming the development, AZB & Partners Managing Partner Ajay Bahl said,

Arora has over 22 years of experience advising multinational companies on a host of engineering disputes. He has acted as counsel in various disputes in power and infrastructure projects. He has also represented leading companies in corporate fraud and white-collar crimes.

Misra has over 11 years of experience advising various lenders, developers and investors (both domestic and international) across sectors such as roads, renewable energy and social infrastructure.

Verma has over 13 years of experience advising companies on project financing transactions across mining, ports and energy sectors.

Sahay has two decades of experience in handling a broad range of deals in diverse sectors. She has handled corporate transactions including domestic as well as cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and joint ventures. She also experience in energy and infrastructure including power, oil and gas and mining.

Aside from Sahay, who joined CAM last year from Argus Partners, the other Partners have been associated with the firm for the past decade or longer.
