Exclusive: Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas IP Partners Mukul Baveja, Apoorva Murali to leave for Trilegal

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas (SAM) Intellectual Property Partners Mukul Baveja and Apoorva Murali are leaving the firm to join Trilegal.

Baveja, who has been associated with SAM for the past decade, is a 2004 graduate of Amity Law School. He earned his LL.M. from Queen Mary University of London in 2011.

With over two decades of experience, Baveja advises clients on contentious and non-contentious IP matters including trademarks, copyrights and patents across diverse industries. He also handles cross-border IP transactions like licensing, franchising and technology transfers. Baveja represents domestic and international clients in IP disputes before Indian courts and arbitration panels at WIPO and the National Internet Exchange of India.

Murali is a 2014 graduate of IIT, Kharagpur and has been associated with the firm for the past 12 years.

She has over a decade of experience managing contentious intellectual property issues and those related to the commercial exploitation of IP. Her expertise covers patents, trademarks, designs and copyrights. She also advises on and enforces issues related to trademarks, passing off, copyrights, designs, internet and technology, confidential information, data protection and customs. She frequently represents clients before various judicial and regulatory forums in India.

On joining Trilegal, Baveja said,
