It's official: Eight corporate partners to move from SAM to Trilegal

As reported earlier today, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas Corporate Partner Amit Khansaheb and team of seven partners are joining Trilegal.

Trilegal announced today that its partnership had voted to invite Khansaheb, Vishruta Kaul, Nikhil Sachdeva, Rishi Jain, Abhishek Dubey, Rahul Chugh, Prateek Lala and Pratyush Singh to join the firm as Partners in the Corporate practice.

Except for Lala, who is expected to join the Bengaluru office, all other partners are expected to join the Gurugram office of Trilegal in the coming months.

With this move, the partnership strength of Trilegal will reach 101.

Partner and Member of the Management Committee at Trilegal Nishant Parikh said on the development,

Trilegal has added nearly 25 new partners across practices in the last year, including 10 in the corporate practice. The addition of these 8 new partners would take the tally of new partners to 33.

Amit Khansaheb is a seasoned corporate lawyer with over 25 years of experience specialising in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity, co-investments and joint ventures. His expertise in advising on corporate legal aspects spans diverse industries such as IT and ITES, software, logistics, micro-finance, manufacturing, technology, internet, thermal and renewable energy.

Vishruta Kaul has over 14 years of experience. She has acted for nearly 200 domestic and cross-border transactions in various sectors, including restructuring mandates, mergers, demergers and joint ventures. She is a trusted advisor to the senior managements of leading corporates on corporate governance matters, strategic day-to-day business and compliance issues, and emerging areas of law such as online gaming, space laws and e-commerce.

Nikhil Sachdeva has over 14 years of experience in a diverse practice portfolio encompassing M&A, venture capital (equity and debt), private equity, joint ventures, general corporate advisory, external commercial borrowing, debt syndication and structured debt. He routinely acts for nearly for clients in a wide variety of industries, including e-commerce, fintech, gaming, artificial intelligence, aggregators, and technology-focused business, including SaaS, NBFC, and manufacturing.

Rishi Jain has over 16 years of experience specialising in M&A, private equity, venture capital and corporate law advisory. He has led several complex and innovative transactions, which have since become market precedents. He routinely advises clients in a variety of sectors, including IT and ITES, software, logistics, e-commerce, micro-finance, fintech, education, manufacturing, technology and business process outsourcing.
