Both Mathur and Suresh are going independent.

Saraf and Partners Disputes Partner Raunaq Bahadur Mathur and Corporate Partner Ramya Suresh have departed from the firm.

Confirming the development, Founding & Managing Partner Mohit Saraf said,

"Both Raunaq and Ramya will be moving on from Saraf and Partners after a brief stint with the firm. We wish them both the very best for the future."

Mathur had joined Saraf and Partners last year.

She is an alumnus of Barkatullah University (formerly, Bhopal University) and earned her LL.M. in Business Laws from National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore.

She has over 15 years of experience in handling complex, high-value international and domestic arbitration as well as commercial litigation. Her practice spans a diverse range of contentious matters, including shareholder and investment disputes, multi-jurisdictional conflicts and sector-specific issues in infrastructure and oil & gas.

Mathur is moving on to start her own independent practice.

Suresh had joined Saraf and Partners in the last quarter of 2023.

She is a 2011 graduate of Amity Law School. She specialises in M&A, PE-VC and structured investments as well as advisory work. With about a decade and half of experience in the general corporate M&A field, her practice spans the energy and infrastructure, manufacturing, agri/dairy-tech, automobiles, media and advertising, e-commerce, e-pharmacy, ed-tech, IT/ITES, FMCG, real estate, non-banking finance and defence sectors.

Suresh will be operating as an independent advisor.
