

Trilegal today announced a revamped governance structure that focuses on supporting an inter-generational transition and further cementing an institutional mindset for the continued growth of the firm.
The new governance structure, which comes into effect from April 1, 2020, will include:
A two-member Management Committee, with a term of three years;
A seven-member Board that will have a term of four years;
New Heads of Practice Groups, with a term of three years; and
Each office will have an Office Head.
Commenting on the new structure, Trilegal Partner Akshay Jaitly said,
In February, the Trilegal partnership had approved a new governance structure, which will include a Management Committee and an expanded Board.
Management Committee
The Management Committee will continue to be responsible for the day-to-day management of the firm. Sridhar Gorthi and Nishant Parikh have been elected as members of the Management Committee.
The Board
The Board will act as the sounding board on certain key matters. It will also advise the Management Committee on important initiatives. This will enhance the leadership pool in the firm and provide diversity of ideas and influence.
For the first term, the Board members are Akshay Jaitly, Rahul Matthan, Karan Singh, Charandeep Kaur, Kosturi Ghosh, Saurabh Bhasin and Delano Furtado.
Practice Group Heads
The firm has constituted 5 practice groups.
Corporate Practice Group - Harsh Pais and Yogesh Singh
Projects Practice Group - Neeraj Menon
Disputes Practice Group - Sitesh Mukherjee
After 11 years of successfully building and leading the Disputes Practice at Trilegal, Sitesh has expressed his desire to move on from the firm and pursue a career as a counsel. Sitesh will hand over the baton to Shankh Sengupta, who will head the Disputes Practice from July 1, 2020.

Office Head
The Office Head will be responsible for the day-to-day management and general welfare of each office. The Office Head for NCR is Charandeep Kaur, for Mumbai it is Delano Furtado, and the Bengaluru office will be headed by Kosturi Ghosh.
