[COVID-19] HPNLU to conduct online classes for students, decides to reimburse Rs 300 for internet packs

In view of the various advisories issued by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and the University Grants Commission (UGC), the Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU) has resolved to conduct online classes for students during the Coronavirus Lockdown.

The classes will be held via Google Meet and other similar conferencing apps.

The notice by HPNLU further states that the University will reimburse internet packs for students upto Rs. 300 to ensure that online classes run smoothly.

"In order to facilitate online classes, University Authorities have decided that students may buy 4G internet pack including Jio work from home or Airtel 4G pack etc. for one month costing up to a maximum of Rs. 300. The University will reimburse the said amount on production of the original bill for purchase during the period of online classes."

The University has further informed the students that academic classes shall continue till June 10 via online means or regular classes (depending on future contingencies).

On the point of any issues pertaining to the conduct of classes in accordance with the time table prescribed, the students may contact the Dean of Academic affairs for clarifications, the notices adds.
