CPI(M)'s M Swaraj moves Supreme Court against Congress MLA K Babu's win in Kerala assembly polls

Swaraj had lost the election to Babu by a slender margin of 992 votes. The CPI(M) leader has claimed that Babu won the polls by seeking votes in the name of the Sabarimala Temple controversy.

The Supreme Court on Monday sought the response of Congress MLA K Babu to the plea filed by Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader M Swaraj challenging the former's win from the Thrippunithura constituency in the 2021 Kerala Assembly polls [M Swaraj v K Babu and ors].
