Delhi HC nominates Senior Advocate Sonia Mathur, Advocate Monika Arora as Bar Council of Delhi members

The Delhi High Court has appointed Senior Advocate Sonia Mathur and Advocate Monika Arora as members of Bar Council of Delhi (BCD).

A letter to this effect was issued to the BCD stating that the Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya has made this nomination in line with the September 2 Supreme Court direction passed in M Varadhan v. Union of India & Ors.

In the September 2 order, the Supreme Court had requested all the High Court Chief Justices to complete the exercise of co-option of two women members to every State Bar Council within two weeks.
