"Happens in every State": Delhi High Court on plea against BJD using party symbol in government scheme promos

The Court refused to entertain the plea and said that the Orissa High Court is the appropriate forum to deal with the matter.

The Delhi High Court on Friday refused to entertain a plea filed by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Jatin Mohanty seeking directions to the Election Commission of India (ECI) to act against Biju Janata Dal (BJD) for using the BJD party symbol of conch while promoting the Odisha government’s welfare schemes.
