RTI: Delhi High Court sets aside CIC order to disclose tax exemptions sought by Ram Mandir Trust

In the order now set aside, the CIC had directed the CBDT to share the copy of the complete application filed by the trust for getting tax exemptions/ deductions under the Income Tax Act for its donations.

The Delhi High Court recently set aside a Central Information Commission (CIC) order directing the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) to provide information under the Right to Information Act (RTI Act) related to tax exemptions/ deductions sought to be availed by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust [Central Public Information Officer v Kailash Chandra Moondra].
