Delhi Police move Delhi High Court against NHRC order criticising it after gangster was shot dead inside court

Shahnawaz Ansari was alleged to be an aide of Mukhtar Ansari and was shot dead inside the courtroom; he was accused in a double-murder case.

The Delhi Police has approached the Delhi High Court against an order passed by the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) criticising the Police for its failure to protect Shahnawaz Ansari who was murdered in a Bijnor court in Uttar Pradesh [Commissioner of Police v Alimuddin Ansari & Anr].
