The Coordination Committee of All-District Court Bar Associations of Delhi has again called for a strike tomorrow i.e. May 11..As per the intimation by the Coordination Committee, the members are requested to reach the Supreme Court at 10 am where further decisions shall be taken..The committee yesterday, had called off the strike which was held to protest against the alleged false implication of the President, Honorary Secretary and 50 members of the Delhi Bar Association in a case at the behest of a judicial officer..As per the intimation of Honorary Secretary Jaiveer Singh Chauhan, the strike had been called off after getting an assurance from the Acting Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court that appropriate steps would be taken against the said judicial officer..The case in question was registered by a lady advocate Afshan Pracha who had alleged that she was manhandled by a group of advocates (who are members of the Delhi Bar Association) at the Tis Hazari Courts complex..Pracha had also approached the Supreme Court regarding the same matter after which the apex court issued a notice to the Delhi Bar Association and directed the Commissioner of Police to provide security to the petitioner.
