Eviction of doctors/paramedics over COVID-19 scare: Karnataka orders strict penal action against errant landlords [Read Order]

Karnataka Government has issued strict orders against eviction of doctors and paramedical staff over COVID -19 scare.

The order issued by the Government says:

"strict penal action against such landlords / house-owners under the relevant provisions of the law and submit an Action Taken Report on a daily basis to the Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department"

Delhi Government had issued similar order on March 24, 2020.

Bar & Bench had conducted a poll in which more than 90% participants wanted Orders protecting Doctors/Emergency Staff against Landlords/ House Owners who are forcing them to vacate their rented residences.
