Gauhati High Court gets two new additional judges

Supreme Court Collegium on August 18 had recommended an advocate and a judicial officer for judgeship.

The Central government today notified the appointment of an advocate and a judicial officer as additional judges of the Gauhati High Court.

Advocate Nchumbemo Mozhui and Judicial Officer Helen Dawngliani were recommended to be appointed by a Supreme Court Collegium on August 18. The government cleared the proposal today and issued a notification for their appointment as judges of the High Court.

At present, the High Court has a working strength of 24 judges against the approved number of 30.
