Hindu Sena President moves Supreme Court to ban BBC in India; cites Congress government's ban of 1970

The Central government led by the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had banned BBC in India for two years for its anti-India report aired in 1970.

A public interest litigation (PIL) petition has been filed before the Supreme Court seeking a total ban on the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) for airing the documentary titled, ‘India: The Modi Question’ relating to the 2002 Gujarat riots.
