Supreme Court judge Justice DY Chandrachud on Tuesday recounted an interesting episode that transpired in court yesterday..While discussing the importance of technology in courts, Justice Chandrachud said that he had spotted someone using mobile phone to record court proceedings yesterday. "I saw someone with a mobile device, possibly recording what we were saying. Initially, my thought was that old feeling - 'how can he record'? Then I thought - 'Big deal! I am saying something in open court, if someone wants to record it.. big deal! It is not confidential," Justice Chandrachud said..Justice Chandrachud, who is also the chairperson of the Supreme Court's E-committee, has been a great advocate for use of technology in courts.Under his supervision, courts across India introduced e-filing and is on the path towards digitisation.Various High Court have also started live streaming of proceedings on YouTube.
