IndusLaw Mumbai Partner Priyanka Roy has recently resigned from the firm to set up Saraqua Legal Advisors.

Confirming this move, Indus Partner Suneeth Katarki said,

“Priyanka wanted to do more strategic advise rather than practice law and in that context she has set up Saraqua Advisors. We wish her the very best.”

He added,

“She was practically running our Mumbai office for a while now and we will really miss her presence. However, we will hopefully continue to collaborate, find ways to work together and be in touch.”

Priyanka joined the Mumbai office of IndusLaw as an Equity Partner in February 2013, when she merged her practice with Indus. Priyanka was one of the three co-founders of Alliance Legal, a firm founded in 2011 along with Vishnu Jerome and Ravi Kumar.

A graduate of National Law School of India University, Bangalore, Priyanka started her career as in-house counsel with ICICI Bank. She has also worked at Amarchand Mangaldas before joining JSA where she was made Partner.

With her exit, IndusLaw now has two partners in the Mumbai office – Nishant Singh and Anupam Prasad.
