Kavaratti court sentences Lakshadweep MP Mohammed Faizal to 10 years in prison for attempt to murder

The case was registered for attempting to murder Padanath Salih, the son-in-law of former Union Minister, PM Sayeed in relation to a political controversy during the 2009 Lok Sabha elections.

The Kavaratti Session Court on Wednesday sentenced Lakshadweep Member of Parliament (MP) Mohammed Faizal and four others to 10 years imprisonment in an attempt to murder case.
