Lakshadweep Administration mooting proposal to shift jurisdiction over islands from Kerala High Court to Karnataka High Court

The proposal has come in the backdrop of several cases being filed before the Kerala High Court against the recent polices of Lakshadweep administration which has been widely opposed by the people of Lakshadweep.

The Lakshadweep Administration, which has been facing widespread protests over some of its policies, is mooting a proposal to shift legal jurisdiction over the islands from Kerala High Court to Karnataka High Court, PTI reported.
