<p>The Central Government has notified that certain provisions under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 shall come into force on July 20, 2020. </p>.<p>The sections which shall come into force are as follows:</p>.<p>These provisions pertain to Consumer Protection Councils, Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Mediation, Product Liability, punishment for manufacturing, selling, distributing etc spurious good or products which contain adulterant. </p>.No proposal to include lawyers under the ambit of Consumer Protection Act: Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Ram Vilas Paswan clarifies.<p>Certain miscellaneous provisions with respect to the powers of the Central and State Government to make rules and regulations have also been enforced. </p>.<p><em>Read the Notification:</em></p>
