[1984 riots] "Nation still bleeding": Delhi High Court allows punishment against SHO for abdication of duty

Durga Prasad was posted as SHO Kingsway Camp police station where around 15 people were killed; he has been charged with abdication of duty and misconduct.

The Delhi High Court on Monday allowed the Disciplinary Authority under the Central Civil Services (Conduct) Rules to pass order of punishment against a Delhi Police officer, Durga Prasad who was charged with abdication of duty and misconduct during the 1984 anti-Sikh riots [Durga Prasad v Lt Governor of NCT of Delhi].
