The batch of petitions challenging various aspects of the abrogation of Article 370 is being heard by a five-Judge Constitution Bench of Justices NV Ramana, SK Kaul, R Subhash Reddy, BR Gavai and Surya Kant.
On the third day of arguments yesterday, Senior Counsel Dinesh Dwivedi concluded his arguments on the preliminary issue of reference to a larger Bench. The Court also agreed to a request made by Dwivedi that he make his submissions on merit when that stage comes.
Following Dwivedi's arguments, Senior Counsel Sanjay Parekh had commenced his arguments yesterday afternoon. Both Dwivedi and Parekh are arguing that the Supreme Court refer the case to a larger Bench.
