Mistake apparent on face of the record: Allahabad High Court directs MACT to award compensation after rectifying claims multiplier

The High Court held that the multiplier of 5 applied for the victim, who was 52 years old, was "a mistake apparent on the face of record". The correct multiplier which should have been applied was 11, the Court said.

The Allahabad High Court recently directed the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT), Kanpur Nagar to rectify the multiplier it had applied while granting compensation in an accident claim.
