Animals have emotions and feelings like human beings: Bombay High Court

Single judge bench of Justice GA Sanap said that since animals cannot speak, they cannot demand their rights and hence, cases involving animal cruelty should be dealt with utmost sensitivity.

Animals have emotions and feelings similar to human beings and cases relating to cruelty of animals have to be dealt with great sensitivity as animals cannot ask for their rights, the Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court recently observed [Ansar Ahmad Qureshi & Ors. v. State of Maharashtra & Anr.]
