Bombay HC hears Richa Chaddha's defamation suit against Payal Ghosh, Kamaal R Khan, news channel [LIVE UPDATES]

The Bombay High Court is hearing a defamation suit filed by Bollywood actress Richa Chaddha against actor Payal Ghosh, internet personality Kamaal R Khan, and news channel ABN Andhrajyothy.

On Monday, the Bench of Justice AK Menon asked Advocate Saveena Bedi Sachar of Lawhive Associates, appearing on behalf of Richa Chaddha, to attempt service of the suit proceedings upon Payal and the others.

The suit was filed after Ghosh did an interview with ABN which was shared and publicised by Kamaal R Khan on his Twitter handle. In statements alleging sexual assault by film director Anurag Kashyap, Ghosh had also mentioned Chaddha's name, prompting Chaddha to file the defamation suit.
