Cannot bar non-residents from enrolling as lawyers with Bar Council of Delhi: Delhi High Court to BCD

The Court said that the BCD cannot restrict its membership to people of Delhi only and lawyers from across the country come to the capital to pursue law practice.

The Delhi High Court on Thursday remarked that the notification issued by the Bar Council of Delhi (BCD) making Aadhar and Voter Identity Card bearing address of Delhi-NCR mandatory for enrollment with the BCD needs to be struck down immediately.
