Cannot confirm conviction under Section 138 NI Act overriding agreement between parties to compound offence: Supreme Court

The Court said that when parties have decided to compound the offence to avoid litigation and the law very clearly allows them to do the same, the High Court cannot override such compounding and impose its will.
