Centre notifies appointment of three lawyers as additional judges of Karnataka High Court

All three lawyers were recommended for appointment by the Supreme Court Collegium on October 6.

The Central Government has notified the appointment of three lawyers as additional judges of the Karnataka High Court.

The three lawyers are Anant Ramanath Hegde, Siddaiah Rachaiah and Kannankuzhyil Sreedharan Hemalekha.

The appointment is for a period of two years.

All three lawyers were recommended by the Supreme Court collegium pursuant to a meeting held on October 6.

Karnataka High Court is currently working with 43 judges as opposed to its sanctioned strength of 62.
