The Central government has notified the transfer of Justice K Manmadha Rao from the Andhra Pradesh High Court to the Karnataka High Court..The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended his transfer after two meetings held on April 15 and 19..Justice Rao enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh on June 25, 1991. He began his practice under Advocate Sri Nagisetty Mohan Das in Ongole and later started independent practice in Kandukur, where he also served as Bar Association Secretary. In 1999, he moved his practice to the Andhra Pradesh High Court at Hyderabad.He served as Senior Standing Counsel for the Central Excise Board (2008–2016), Special Public Prosecutor/Standing Counsel for the Enforcement Directorate (2016–2020) in PMLA cases, and for the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence in NDPS matters, appearing before designated and High Courts, including in Hyderabad and Amravati.He was sworn in as a judge of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh on December 8, 2021..[Read notification]
