Chhattisgarh High Court orders ₹1 lakh compensation for arrest of innocent man with same name as accused

The Chhattisgarh High Court recently directed the State government to pay a compensation ₹1 lakh to a man who had to spend almost 8 months in jail after he was wrongly arrested by the police because he shared the same name as the accused [Podiyaami Bhima v State & Ors].
