"Chief Justice master of roster:" Allahabad HC rejects plea by petitioner to not list his cases before a particular judge, slaps Rs. 20,000 costs

"No direction could be issued to the High Court not to list cases of a particular counsel before a particular Judge," the Court said.

The Chief Justice (CJ) of a High Court is the master of roster, the Allahabad High Court recently reiterated, dismissing a petition by a person who prayed that cases filed by him should not be listed before a particular judge (Arun Mishra v. High Court, Allahabad).
