Delhi High Court directs Delhi Govt to consider as representation plea seeking ban on firecrackers, burning of effigies

As per the Petitioners, the problem of pollution had intensified this year because of the COVID-19.

The Delhi High Court today directed Delhi Government and other authorities concerned to consider as representation a petition seeking a strict ban on firecrackers and burning of effigies to prevent further increase in air pollution. (Chetan Hasija & Anr vs GNCTD)
