Delhi High Court seeks response from Central government on plea seeking removal of Afghan refugees protesting outside UNHCR office

The petition by Vasant Vihar Welfare Association claimed that the crowd gathered outside UNHC is not adhering to COVID norms and is causing hindrance to the movement of people in the society.

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday issued notice to the Central government on a plea filed by Vasant Vihar Welfare Association seeking removal of Afghan refugees who have been protesting outside the office of United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) (Vasant Vihar Welfare Association v. UOI).
