Delhi High Court quashes FIR against man who inadvertently carried 3 live-cartridges to airport in bag borrowed from uncle

The accused argued that he was travelling to Hong Kong from Delhi and was in a hurry to catch his flight. Therefore, he quickly stuffed his belongings in the handbag borrowed from his uncle.

The Delhi High Court recently quashed a First Information Report (FIR) registered against a man who was charged with offences under the Arms Act for carrying three live ammunition to Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport [Rajat Gupta v State].
