Delhi High Court restrains use of 'Good Year' mark in trademark infringement suit by tire company

The Court noted that the mark 'Good Year' has been registered in India since 1943. The plaintiffs contended that it has been used in India since 1920.

In a trademark infringement suit filed by tyre manufacturer Goodyear, the Delhi High Court restricted a person from using the mark 'Good Year' or any such mark which was identical or deceptively similar to the trademark registered by the US-based company (Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company v. Deva Nand Sukhia).
