Delhi High Court stays trial court proceedings against lawyer who obstructed Shaheen Bagh demolition drive

Justice Anu Malhotra issued notice to Delhi government in the matter and said that the proceedings will remain stayed till October 19 when the matter will be taken up next.

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday stayed the proceedings before trial court in relation to a First Information Report (FIR) registered against lawyer Aarfa Khanam who had allegedly obstructed the South Delhi Municipal Corporation’s (SDMC)) demolition drive in Shaheen Bagh area [Aarfa Khanam v State of NCT of Delhi].
