Guwahati has good lawyers; why engage advocates from Kolkata, Delhi? Gauhati High Court Chief Justice Sandeep Mehta

An adjournment request made before the Gauhati High Court on Friday citing difficulties faced by a counsel from Kolkata to appear before the High Court prompted Chief Justice Sandeep Mehta to quip, in a lighter vein, about why lawyers from Delhi and Kolkata were being engaged when there was no dearth of good lawyers in Guwahati.
