Hijab ban in colleges: Karnataka High Court calls for student community, public to maintain peace

The Karnataka High Court today appealed to the student community and the public at large to maintain peace and tranquillity in the wake of protests against a government order which effectively bans the wearing of hijab (headscarves) by Muslim students [Ayesha Hajeera Almas v. Chief Secretary].
