Madras High Court orders interim stay on single-judge order terminating appointment of 254 assistant professors

Justices Paresh Upadhyay and Bharatha Chakravarthy said that the order of the single judge was unsustainable and was to be kept in abeyance till the final hearing of the appeal.

A division bench of the Madras High Court Tuesday temporarily stayed the order of a single-judge that had terminated the appointment of 254 Assistant Professors in the colleges maintained by the private Pachaiyappa Trust [P Elangovan and others v. R Prema Latha and others].
